Jim Flora Art LLC has released a limited-edition, archival-quality fine art print of an uncirculated Jim Flora pen & ink drawing entitled Sunday Morning. The undated work was found in an artist's sketchbook which contains works by Flora from the mid-1990s, and strongly resembles other drawings from the period. This is the latest-life work by the artist we have offered in a numbered edition. Produced by Flora archivist Barbara Economon, the prints have been meticulously crafted and painstakingly replicated from the original drawing using state-of-the-art digital technology. A high-resolution scan was made of the original art. All aspects of the original artwork, including Flora's signature at the lower right and hand-titling the lower left, have been retained.  Only twenty-five (25) prints of Sunday Morning were produced for this edition. Each print is numbered in the lower right corner beneath the image and authenticated on the reverse with the stamped seal of Jim Flora Art LLC (a Flora family enterprise). Prints 21/25 thru 23/25 have been sold (24/25 and 25/25 are on exhibition consignment), and we are now offering number 20/25 for $185. Prices will increase for subsequent prints as the edition depletes. The image area is 10" high x 12-1/2" wide on a sheet 11" high x 17" wide. The unframed prints are on heavyweight (310g) mould-made William Turner stock, a natural white, 100% rag paper with a fine toothy surface manufactured by Hahnemuehle, who are renowned for premium-grade archival papers. The edition was produced on an Epson 3800Pro large format printer using Epson UltraChrome K3 Pigment Ink Technology, resulting in brilliant, velvety color and offering excellent longevity and durability. The print will ship flat, securely packaged and guaranteed against bending or dents. Print includes a detailed, custom-printed one-sheet with instructions for the proper care of this fine art reproduction. Sunday Morning has not previously been reproduced or published. The original work is in the Flora family's private collection and is not for sale at this time.  |
