Description

JimFlora.com is offering a limited-edition, archival-quality fine art print of an uncirculated tempera entitled Barberinni. The undated painting dates from a European sojourn by Flora during the early 1960s, and likely was rendered in 1962 when he visited Italy.

Barberinni  has not previously been reproduced for commercial sale, and was published in our anthology The Sweetly Diabolic Art of Jim Flora. Produced by Flora archivist Barbara Economon, the prints have been meticulously replicated from the original painting using state-of-the-art digital technology. A high-resolution scan was made of the original art. All aspects of the work have been retained. In addition, because the original work was unsigned, a compatible Flora signature from 1962 has been added below the active art to officially “brand” the reproduction.

Only twenty-five (25) prints of Barberinni were produced for this edition. Each print is numbered in the lower right corner beneath the image and authenticated on the reverse with the stamped seal of Jim Flora Art (a Flora family enterprise). Prices increase for prints as the edition depletes.

The irregular image area (as created by the artist) is approximately 11″ high x 16-1/2″ wide on a 13″ x 19″ untrimmed sheet. The unframed prints are on heavyweight (310g) mould-made William Turner stock, a natural white, 100% rag paper with a fine toothy surface manufactured by Hahnemühle, who are renowned for premium-grade archival papers. The edition was produced using Epson UltraChrome K3 Pigment Ink Technology, offering crisp resolution and assuring excellent longevity and durability.

The print will ship flat, securely packaged and guaranteed against bending or dents. Print includes a detailed, custom-printed one-sheet with instructions for the proper care of this fine art reproduction.
